三月帶幼兒英語童謠班的孩子唸唱
Little Miss Muffet,
Little Miss Muffet
Sat on a Tuffet,
Eating her curds and whey.
Along came a spider,
That sat down beside her
And frightened Miss Muffet away.
孩子一看到童謠插畫時說:Little Miss Muffet is a girl. 跟Little Po Beep一樣
(Little Bo Beep的童謠先前教過了!)
接著,透過插畫跟孩子解釋童謠的意思。
延伸活動
1. Arts & Crafts: Dangling Spider (idea and spider pattern from "Literature Pockets Nursery Rhymes")
完成後,在中間加上一條繩子就像一隻spider從蜘蛛絲上垂下來的樣子。
告訴孩子:Bring home the dangling spider and frighten your daddy, mommy, sister,
brother, grandpa, or grandma.
2. A Flap Book - What Is Under Here?(idea from "Literature Pockets Nursery Rhymes")
將童謠分成四小段:Little Miss Muffet sat on a tuffet / Eating her curds and whey /
Along came a spider who sat down beside her / And frightened Miss Muffet Away
分別貼在翻翻書上方的四個格子裡,
將 tuffet / curds and whye / spider / frightened 分別貼在翻翻書下方的四個格子裡,
讓他們分別對應到童謠的四小段歌詞
3. Phonemic Awareness Activity:
將童謠裡的單字 Muffet, tuffet, curds, whey, spider, her, away 寫在白板上
每次唸其中倆個單字,問孩子:Do they rhyme?
例如:Muffet / tuffet (Yes!), Muffet / away (No!), whey / spider (No!), whye / away (Yes!)
接著將白板上的字全部擦掉,寫上單字spider, 將spider的發音拆成三個聲音sp - i - der,特別強調long i的聲音
告訴孩子接下來會聽到很多字(有長 i 音的字,也有其他母音的字),請他們聽聽看這些字是不是也有long i sound
